Dr Kingston goes to Belize for a Mission Project
Dr Pat Kingston, our periodontist, participated in a Mission Project this past fall that helped those in Belize receive dental care. The mission trip focuses on dental and medical mission work. There is a group that travels to Belize at least one week a year, which consists of approximately 40 dentists, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, dental hygienists and assistants, nurses, dental technicians, and everyone in between.
The group consists of a very diverse set of people from all ages and backgrounds with one similarity…a desire to volunteer their time and talents to serve others less fortunate with dental, medical and spiritual needs.
In 2011, the Belize Mission Project ended up seeing 9,878 patients, with approximately 6,000 of those being involved with the new fluoride program. Dr. Kingston had a great time and each year the project continues to grow. The photo includes one of the groups that attended the mission trip.
